| Ashod Ghoulyan was born in 1961 in Baku. In 1990 he joined the ranks of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation. He played an important role in 1991, against the Azerbaijani military troop called "Omon". Artsakh’s military troops came forth with his help. He was later assigned as the first commander of these troops, which were the first troops to enter Shoushi. He lost his life on August 25, 1992, while fighting in Trempon.
